How much will it cost to run the hot tub during the hire?

The hot tub takes 1.123 cubic metres of water to fill at 80%.

The pump takes 2.05kW per hour on the heat setting (takes up to 24 hours to initially heat).

So based on 33p a kW it will be £16.24 to heat up and if you are using every day and using 7 hours a day to keep heated that would be £4.74 a day. You can also fill straight from a hot tap if you have a suitable source with an adaptor for the hose.

The massage setting takes 0.6kW per hour.

Are you insured?

Yes, we are fully insured for the hot tub while on rental and for public liability. It is advised that you also let your insurance know that you will be hiring the hot tub.

How many people fit into the hot tubs?

The helsinki Lay-Z-Spa hot tubs fit 5-7 people. 5 adults will fit comfortably.

I'd like to book, but I am not sure on a definite date, can I change later on?

Hawkers will take a 20% deposit to secure your booking. If you need to change the date, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can edit your booking. If there is availability, we will change the date at no extra charge. If it is not available and you cannot choose another date, you will just be charged the deposit and your booking will be cancelled.

How much space do I need?

The hot tub is 1.8m in diameter, so to give you some space around the hot tub, ideally 2.5m in diameter to set up in.

Can I connect it to an extension lead?

No. Unfortunately, the power will need to be supplied by the mains. The lead is 7 metres long. However, if an extension is needed, please get in touch so we can supply a sufficient extension lead (15 metres on top of the 7 metre lead).

Do we drain it? Where does all the water go?

Yes, we will drain it with a draining pump to make sure it all goes to the drainage point that you showed us when we set up. Please see our 'Recycle & Re-use' page to see how you could help to recycle the water and hydrate your garden.

Can I wear fake tan in the hot tub?

No. Unfortunately this will cause the water to become cloudy and chemically unbalanced. It will also stain the hot tub along with ruining your tan! Please make sure you do not apply any fake tan before entering the hot tub as any stains will incur a cleaning fee.

How heavy is the hot tub?

The total weight of the Helsinki Lay-Z-Spa when added with water is 1,155kg (2,548lb). Please ensure the area intended for the set up will support this weight plus occupants getting into the hot tub.
